Director's Note
I worked alone, which meant every choice had to be a directing choice, not a production compromise.
AI tools gave me shots I couldn’t otherwise afford the wreck, the terrain, the monument but nothing was allowed to look generated. Some days the ratio was 1 to 10, usable frames coming easy. Other days it was closer to 1 to 200 image generations for a single shot that held. Everything within the frame has to earn its place.
I aim for a more cinematic pace: still frames, longer holds, silence where a faster edit would cut away. A cold, muted color grade, visible film grain, and a wide 2.39:1 frame that keeps the world closing in on her.
I was fortunate to have great composers and a professional colorist that took the images to new heights.
